Covid-19 Policy

UPDATE ON DIESEL STORES AND ONLINE DELIVERY

In the face of the worldwide implications of COVID-19, we are doing everything we can to make sure everybody stays safe in these uncertain and trying times. As a global company, we are monitoring the situation closely per country. Every decision is made on a day-to-day basis in line with local safety guidelines.

In line with the National Lockdown levels guidance from government, we are slowly re-opening our stores where possible, The below Diesel stores in South Africa will re-open from Friday 8th May 2020. Trading hours will be 09h00 - 17h00:

  • Sandton
  • Gateway
  • Eastgate
  • Canal Walk
  • V&A

We have taken the following prcautions to protect your health and safety:

  • We ask everybody to keep a 1.5m distance from each other and visit the store alone.
  • We closely monitor the number of visitors in a store at any time and we may be required to limit the number of customers in a store.
  • The wearing of masks in store is compulsory.
  • We will have hand sanitiser available for you to cleanse your hands before entering the store.
  • A strict cleaning protocol has been implemented in each store.
  • We encourage the use of contactless payments.
  • If you bring your own shopping bag, we ask that you pack it yourself for safety.
  • We ask anyone who experiences cold or flu symptoms to please stay at home.

As per the regulation, purchase of only winter clothing and footwear is permitted, which means that certain products will not be for sale (such as shorts, sandals and certain accessories).

We are able to resume delivery for online orders with winter clothing and footwear only. All products that can be delivered are labelled "winter essential". For orders with non-winter essential products, we will continue to take your orders and deliver them to you after Level 4.

For eligible orders, we will implement a contactless delivery to ensure all precautionary measures. We are expecting a slight delay in deliveries during this time due to reduced services. We will do whatever we can to get your order to you as quickly as possible.

How will you deliver contactless?

Our couriers will operate a contactless delivery to ensure the hygiene and safety of all. The drivers will be equipped with facemasks and sanitisers, as well as allow contactless signings on the handheld device for your parcel if requested.

What can be delivered during level 4 lockdown

The government has permitted winter clothing and footwear to be sold. All products that can be delivered are labelled "winter essentials". For orders with non-winter essential products, we will continue to process your orders and delivery will take place once the regulations are lifted.

How long will my order take to arrive?

Our delivery time is 4-10 business days. This may take a little longer under lockdown conditions due to the backlog at customs and reduced service staff. We will try our best to get your order to you as soon as possible. You will be notified once your order is shipped.

What about the orders I have already placed?

All open orders are currently being processed. For those orders containing eligible winter products, they are being shipped to you and you will receive a shipping update shortly. For those orders containing non-winter items, we are holding the stock for you and will resume delivery as soon as the regulations are lifted.
